The turnover increased to 226 million Euro (without licensing revenue) compared to 225 million Euro in the previous year. "We are continuously investing in sustainability of our companies and our brands. Thus we reached a positive development in 2017", emphasise the managing partners Wolfgang and Klaus Brinkmann.
The share in exports was at 44 per cent in 2017 and thus slightly above the previous year's level of 43 per cent. The bugatti Holding is exporting into over 60 countries around the world. The most important exporting country is by far Italy, followed by Great Britain, Austria, and the Netherlands. Business in Russia records a trend reversal to the positive. This already resulted in a plus in the pre-ordering business spring/summer 2018. At the moment, all signs are pointing towards a continuing development for the current year.
The core brand bugatti took a good stand on the market in 2017. The label continued its consistent modernisation programme. Growth resulted mainly from the areas e-commerce and retail.
In 2017, the bugatti Holding invested a lot in the sustainability of the company, the modernisation of the brands and in eye-catching marketing activities. "The start of the current year was optimistic. We will continue to advance our multi-channel capabilites, because this will pay off", declare the managing directors Wolfgang and Klaus Brinkmann.
