Platform Fashion - Ninth Edition a Success

The ninth edition of the fashion show concept PLATFORM FASHION that took place on the occasion of CPD Ordering Days celebrated a successful closing on January 28.

With six fashion shows and diverse side events, more than 25 labels involved, more than 4,000 guests and press representatives as well as numerous influencers during three days, the format was a great success again.

The fashion and lifestyle company Breuninger made the beginning of Platform Fashion on Friday, January 26: In front of customers and many celebrity guests such as Aylin Tezel, Kostja Ullmann, Annica Hansen, and Miriam Lahnstein, a selection of the new collection was shown.

On Saturday, the graduates of AMD first presented their innovative designs which demonstrated that for the design academy, the development of an individual design signature is very significant. Thereafter, selected fashion labels presented their current collections on the runway at FashionYard meets Platform Fashion.
The TNRWDI Catwalk closed the day with the first fashion show of the new format THE NRW DESIGN ISSUE - TNRWDI. Labels such as Miaki Komuro from Düsseldorf, machart manufaktur from Steinheim or jen mm design from Wuppertal were an impressive prove of the great variation and high quality of North-Rhine Westphalia's designers.

On Sunday, labels such as Nadja Kiess, Alexandra Fuks, Beate Heymann, and CABO by MILKA illustrated the trends of the coming season at Platform Fashion Selected. Under the glamourous title of "Casino Royale", the brilliant fashion show by the designer from Düsseldorf, Thomas Rath, was closing the evening.

"The great interest and engagement of the participating brands and media as well as the positive feedback of visitors shows that Platform Fashion has become a key event of the German fashion calender", says Jonas Klingenstein, Managing Director of the organiser the fable.
